Nurseries

Nurseries are part of the early years and childcare offer for families. They may be private day nurseries that Ofsted registered and inspected and are usually open 5 days a week all year round 8am-6pm. They offer Childcare and Education from 0-4 years and parents apply for a place direct to the nursery.

They may be a Maintained Nursery School which are in their own building or Maintained School Nursery classes that are attached to a primary school. They are have a Headteacher and open term time 9am-3pm although some may offer wrap around for a longer day. They offer childcare and early education mainly for 3 and 4 year olds although some do offer places for funded 2 year olds.
