This can sometimes make us feel like we aren’t good enough. When this carries on for extended periods it can impact on our ability to cope and meet the emotional and developmental needs of our children, which in turn can have long term effects on how they learn and develop, how they make friends and cope at school and cope with changes in their lives into their teenage years and even adulthood.
It can be helpful to share how you feel sometimes just talking things through can start to help you make sense of what of what you are feeling and what is going on in your life. Your health visitor, midwife or GP will be able to support you by providing a space to listen, suggesting resources that may help you, or putting you in touch with services/people in their team who can provide specialist help if you need it.
